About

IIM Ranchi, established in 2010, currently operates out of a temporary campus in Ranchi, and is expected to shift to a 60-acre campus by 2020. IIM Ranchi is one of the fastest growing IIMs of the country, and sees a variety of industry giants and well-known brands recruiting on-campus each year.

USP

IIM Ranchi is the first Indian institute to be a participant in the UN Global Compact and PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education), and have a dedicated body working towards their commitment to this cause.

Selection Criteria

  1. Initial Shortlisting for WAT/PI Process

An initial shortlist shall be prepared of candidates who would be eligible for WAT and PI

process for admission to the PGP 2019-21 Batch of IIM Ranchi. This list would be purely

based on CAT performance and is expected to be announced around mid-January 2019.

The CAT cut-off percentile scores for consideration for admission to IIM Ranchi is

mentioned in Table 1.

* The CAT cut-off may change after the CAP 2019 participating IIMs Directors’ meeting.

It must be noted that every eligible candidate as per Table 1, may or may not find a place

in the shortlist. The above cut-off percentile figures are just indicative. The shortlisted

candidates of all the participating IIMs will be merged to make a combined shortlist

for further processing.

The criteria given in Table 1 will be used to rank the candidates in different categories

(namely General, NC-OBC, SC, ST and DAP) and for shortlisting of candidates based on

ranking within categories for further processing.

 

  1. WAT and PI Process

WAT and PI process would be conducted at five different centres, namely Bangalore,

Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai and New Delhi. The exact dates for the same would be

communicated to shortlisted candidates in due course.

The coordinator for CAP 2019 would be IIM Ranchi.

Final Admissions 2019-21

After the completion of the WAT and PI process, admission offers would be made on the

basis of a merit list. This Consolidated Merit List (CML) would be prepared on the basis

of following components and their corresponding weights:

  1. a) CAT Percentile

30% weightage is assigned to the CAT score of only those candidates who are eligible for WAT

and PI.

  1. b) WAT and PI

There will be a minimum cut-off of 15 out of 50 marks (30% weightage) in normalized

PI scores of Candidates. The candidates who do not clear the PI cut-off, will not be

considered for further process in preparation of CML.

  1. c) Profile

The profile scoring methodology for IIM Ranchi is given in Table 3 below.
